Yoram Globus (born 21 October 1941 in Tiberias, Israel, is an Israeli director and producer who is most famous for his association with Cannon Films Inc., a company he ran with his cousin Menahem Golan. The cousins bought The Cannon Group production company in 1979 and managed it throughout the 1980s. Because of their fast, low-budget style of filmmaking, they earned the nickname "the Go-Go Boys". However, quite a few of the films produced by the Cannon Group have become quite renowned, including Godfrey Reggio's second film of the "Qatsi" trilogy, Powaqqatsi (1988). The Cannon Group's...
