William S. Darling (14 September 1882 – 16 December 1963) was a Hungarian-born art director. He was born as Wilhelm Sándorházi. He won three Academy Awards and was nominated for a further four in the category Best Art Direction. The seven nominations make him the second most nominated exil-Hungarian (Together with George Pal) after Miklós Rózsa and with three wins actually the most Academy awarded (together with Miklós Rózsa).
He worked on 61 films between 1921 and 1954.
He was born in Sándorhaz, Austria-Hungary (now Hungary), and died in Laguna Beach, California.
