A new Volkswagen Super Bowl ad is causing some controversy, with some saying the spot is racist. The ad is part of the company’s new “Get in. Get happy” campaign. New York Times columnist Charles Blow criticized it as being “like blackface with voices.” Volkswagen is standing by the commercial, saying it is designed to brighten the viewer’s day.
