On October 16, 2010 the Morton Community High School Marching Band received first place in Class 3A competition at the Illini Marching Band Championships in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois. Director Jeff Neavor has done it once again with the assistance of composer Craig Fitzpatrick. The program is based on the music of Haydn, Imber, Daugherty, Brahms, Mozart, and James Newton Howard.
