Pakistan closures affect Afghan schools Pakistan's president says he will go to Chicago for a NATO summit on Afghanistan, which is an indication that Pakistan may be willing to reopen the coalition's supply routes into Afghanistan. Pakistan blocked the routes in November in protest over a US air raid that killed 24 Pakistani troops. The closures, a consequence of a major dispute between Pakistan and the US, have also affected Afghan citizens' lives for the worse.
