A crime drama that marks the directing debut of "The Departed" screenwriter William Monahan. The film is based on the Ken Bruen novel. In the film, Farrell plays a freshly-paroled London criminal who becomes involved with Knightley's reclusive actress. Winstone joins as a former crime boss, Thewlis will play Knightley's agoraphobic business manager and Friel plays Farrell's sister.
