JANA ROBBINS -- "Rose's Turn" in GYPSY by Stephen Sondheim & Jule Styne Video

Before Jana Robbins was above the title on Broadway as one of the producers of such shows as LITTLE WOMEN: The Musical and this seasons highly anticipated revival of RAGTIME, she had top billing as Mama Rose in GYPSY, first as standby for Tyne Daly in the 1989-91 Broadway revival, directed by bookwriter Arthur Laurents [in which she also stopped the show nightly as Mazeppa in You Gotta Get a Gimmick] and later in numerous productions across the country. In this clip from The Reagal Players 1992 production, directed by Robert J. Eagle with the assistance of Tony Rader and Michele Pigliavento, she stops the show with Stephen Sondheim and Jule Stynes iconic eleven o'clock soliloquy, Roses Turn. Ms. Robbins other Broadway appearances include GOOD NEWS, I LOVE MY WIFE, ROMANCE/ROMANCE, THE TALE OF THE ALLERGISTS WIFE.
