"Tom Bosley, the actor who played Richie Cunningham's straight-laced father on the '70s sitcom ""Happy Days,"" passed away Tuesday. Bosley, who turned 83 on October 1st, died of a staph infection. Actor Henry Winkler, who played the Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli, aka The Fonz, on ""Happy Days"" told Los Angeles news radio station KNX-1070: ""I'm in shock, I really am. I spoke to him just a few weeks ago and he seemed to be getting his strength back."" Bosley is survived by his wife Patricia Carr and his daughter Amy."
