Part 109. Alan and Lila enjoy a chat alone. Lila tells Alan that Stella has a date. Lila sees a prowler outside and it turns out to be Frisco spying on the house next door. They take him inside and give him tea and a blanket. After he leaves, they talk about dreams and his is to have his two sons with Charity in Pawtauck. Lila's dream is for Alan and Monica to live happily ever after together. Alan asks Jimmy Lee to go to Pawtauck to check on Charity. He worries about her but she won't see him. Jimmy Lee finally agrees to go and check up on her. Later, Alan has fallen asleep reading a medical journal. Monica walks in and wakes him up. She tells him he can't fool her with his sudden dedication to medicine. Alan tells her that people change. Monica mocks him.
