(20th Century Fox 6667-B) Out of Los Angeles, this 1966 release is a mix of folk meets Phil Spector. A one shot record deal on 20th Century Fox records features the lead vocals of Gary Holmberg with background vocals by Gary's sisters, Dotti & Shari along with Curt Boettcher and Ray Molina. With a sound identical to that of Cher's 1965 & 1966 solo LP's for Imperial Records, 'Why' was recorded at Hollywood's Gold Star Studio with an atmospheric, jingle-jangly 'Wall Of Sound' arrangement by 'Wrecking Crew' guitarist, Don Peake that unfortunately never saw the light of day.
