GARY LUCAS: PART 1 GODS & MONSTERS MOSCOW In April 2006, the full supergroup lineup of Gary Lucas & Gods and Monsters (Jerry Harrison from Talking Heads, Ernie Brooks from The Modern Lovers, Billy Ficca from Television, and Jason Candler from The Hungry March Band) was invited to perform live for 5 shows in both Moscow and Saint Petersburg by legendary Russian new music promoter Sasha Cheparukhin. This concert documents their appearance at the Golden Mask Festival, Russia's largest cultural festival, and was filmed in the ornate Golden Mask Theater in Moscow on 4/16/06 on a bill entitled "New York Night", which also featured Gary's friends Nina Nastasia and Jim White, and Hazmat Modine.
