final scene in Ingmar Bergman's "Smiles of a Summer Night" Video

Frid the Groom (Åke Fridell) tells Petra the Maid (Harriet Andersson) about the last smile of the summer, in the long and luminous northern light. The first smile is for the young lovers, who have as much joy as sorrows. The second is for the clowns, the irreclaimable who have the fun, but not the joys.
