The idea for "Down In The Delta" originated from Delta Music Institute Director Tricia Walker's suggestion that DMI write, record, and produce a "Monday Night Football" style jingle for this year's football season. Jimmy Smith, coordinator of multi media for DSU Athletics, conceived and filmed a video treatment using DMI students and DSU football players in two locations on campus, DMI Studio B and Parker Field. The results of this cross campus partnership are nothing short of entertaining in our own uniquely Delta style. So take a look, take a listen, and take pride that this entire production was created right here at Delta State University!
