When upstanding Michael's (Boris Kodjoe) 7-year-old son is caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and is gunned down during a botched drug deal, Michael is overcome with grief. His sorrow turns to rage when his son's killers are given a light sentence. Determined to obtain justice, Michael purposely gets himself arrested so he can take matters into his own hands but it soon becomes clear that jail may not be the answer.
