This video comprises 2 excerpts from the TV series 'Smiley's People' (1982). They include all the footage of the character Elvira (played by Ingrid Pitt). The first is from Part 1 of the series; the second beginning at 2.34 is from Part 2. The other characters, in order of appearance, are: The General (Curd Jürgens ) who gets murdered/ assassinated after the first excerpt, Elvira's husband Mikhel (Michael Gough) and George Smiley aka 'Max' (Alec Guinness).
