Elvira's Haunted Hill's is Elvira, Mistress of the Dark's second sojourn into the world of feature films. Shot over the Fall and Winter of 2000 in Romania, Elvira's Haunted Hills was completely self-financed and produced by Elvira creator, Cassandra Peterson and Mark Pierson. Cassandra also wrote the movie, which is a homage/parody to the low grade, B rate horror films of the sixties. A more sophisticated sensibility in comparison to her first movie, Mistress of the Dark, yet still campy and fun. The movie debuted in the late summer of 2002 in theaters around the country, and was given special screenings as a tie in with AIDS charity events.
