Walter and Jesse have been kidnapped by drug dealer Tuco following the uncovering of his business by the DEA. Tuco, intending to use Walter and Jesse in a scheme involving a Mexican super-lab, has to be stopped, and after a dramatic struggle Walt and Jesse end up shooting their captor and leaving him for dead. Unbeknown to them, Hank has tracked down Jesse's car, which leads Hank directly to their whereabouts, and a super methed-up, angry, wounded Tuco. An intense shoot-out takes place, leaving Tuco dead and Hank with a serious case of post-traumatic stress. Jesse loses the money in his car when the DEA seizes it, leaving him with absolutely nothing. Jesse becomes involved with Walter once again, continuing their cooking. Cutting out the middle men (smurfs) who purchase large amounts of pseudo (Pseudoephedrine, typically as Sudafed), the two strike up an idea to steal a similar chemical which would make for a new formula. After a successful heist, Walt and Jesse get back to cooking in their RV, out in the desert. Walt decides they will cook for four days straight and "make hay while the sun shines". Walter lied to his wife saying he would be staying with his mother while he and Jesse left to cook. After making large quantities of meth, the RV refuses to start. After giving up and resigning to death, Walter hatches a successful plan to construct makeshift batteries and the two return to civilization. Jesse becomes involved with his landlord's daughter, Jane (Krysten Ritter), who is a recovering heroin addict. Jane accidentally rolls on her back while sleeping after another heroin hit and chokes on her vomit. Unfortunately, Jesse wakes up to find Jane dead. Walter and Jesse are forced to hire a lawyer, Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) when Badger is busted by Albuquerque PD and this puts further strain on their money. Walter's wife Skyler decided she had enough with Walter and told him to pack his things up and move out. She discovered that Walter had a layer of lies and she was sick of it. LESS
