Cisco and Pancho come to the aid of a pretty lady rancher fighting a greedy cattle baron who is making ranchers and cattle drivers pay for watering their herds.

Caleb Wilson, owner of a freighting line, accepts a contract from Ben Jarrett to deliver tons of ore by a specified time, and puts up a $20,000 bond to get the contract, but he doesn't know that this is just a scheme by Jarrett to get his money.

Cisco and Pancho find themselves in the middle of a feud between the guards and workers of a gold mine, where the guards suspect the workers of stealing gold from the mine.

Cisco and Pancho are chased by the law into a desolate area and leave their horses to look for water when they stagger into a ghost town.
