Hammer's unorthodox methods often put him on the wrong side of the law, particularly with his ambitious nemesis, assistant D.A. Lawrence Barrington (Kent Williams), who does it by the book and expects everyone around him to do the same.
From plush Park Avenue penthouses to a shoot out on the Staten Island Ferry to the seamy side streets of the world's most exciting city, Hammer stalks a dangerous array of underworld characters.
