Her extensive theatrical background includes appearing with Kenneth Branagh in David Mamet's Edmond (2003) and a run in the West End revival of Boeing-Boeing (2007–8). Most recently she appeared in a production of Earthquakes In London (2011) as Sarah Sullivan as the show is currently on tour. Oberman was praised for her portrayal of Chrissie Watts in EastEnders from 2004-2005.
