Having always wanted to be an actor, Bishops' passionate hopes became a reality when he met renowned acting teacher Susan Batson. Shortly after, he booked his first feature lead role opposite Oscar winners Robin Williams and Mira Sorvino along with Jim Caviezel in the Sci-Fi thriller The Final Cut, for Lionsgate Films. The film premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and won several awards globally.
