Sydney Tamiia Poitier (born November 15, 1973) is an American actress known for her work on television. Sydney is the daughter of famous Oscar-winning actor Sidney Poitier. Sydney had a recurring part in season one of Joan of Arcadia, where she played Rebecca Askew, the love interest of Joan's older brother, Kevin. She was also a regular on the first season of Veronica Mars before the show opted to focus on different characters and she was dropped from the cast.
