Susan Vanita Diol (born May 25, 1962) is an American television actress who has played supporting roles in over forty series, including Star Trek: The Next Generation, NCIS and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Her characters rarely appear in more than one episode.
Diol was born in Marquette, Michigan, of Finnish, Swedish, and Indian descent. Her father is Peter Balwant Singh Diol, and her mother is Christine Katherine. Her middle name, Vanita, means "princess of the forest". She was raised in Columbus, Ohio, along with her siblings Katherine Amrita, Michael Peter, and Jennifer Priya.

Diol was married to Jerry Rapp from April 1, 1991, until their divorce on August 17, 1993.
Diol's second marriage was to Shaun Cassidy on May 7, 1995. They had one child together, Juliet Jones-Diol Cassidy, who was born on March 19, 1998, with a weight of 3.7 kg (8 lb 2 oz) at birth. She was divorced from Cassidy on March 1, 2003.
Diol married her third and current husband, Andy Cadiff, on December 20, 2003, in a Jewish ceremony in their backyard in Pasadena, California.
