A Clip from the Movie Summer Dreams: The Story of the Beach Boys. The movie chronicles the story of the Beach Boys, from their rise to popularity in the early 1960's, to their decline in the 70's and comeback in the 1980's. The film focuses the most on 2 of the brothers, Dennis and Brian Wilson. Brian began experimenting with drugs in the mid 60's and became addicted into the early 1970's. Brian also suffered from mental illness during this period of time. Brian eventually overcomes mental illness and his addiction to drugs, while his brother Dennis does not stop his alcohol addiction. Dennis Wilson died in 1983 from drowning under the influence of alcohol. The film ends with a comeback performance by the beach boys sometime in the mid 80's.
