Steve Borden (born March 20, 1959), better known by his ring name Sting, is an American professional wrestler, signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). He is best known for his years in World Championship Wrestling (WCW).

The final edition of WCW Monday Nitro in March 2001 marked Sting's only live appearance on a television program owned by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF): Borden has never signed with WWE (formerly the WWF), and has subsequently appeared on WWE programming only in archive footage. Owing to his loyalty to the promotion, Sting has been described as "The Franchise of WCW"; in a 2000 publication, the promotion said of Sting, "He is the franchise player of WCW, and perhaps no one better represents LESS
