Steven Eckholdt (born September 6, 1961) is an American actor of German descent.
Eckholdt began his screen career in the mid 1980s. Primarily known for television roles, his main screen appearances include L.A. Law, Melrose Place, It's Like, You Know..., Providence, The West Wing and The L Word. He also appeared as Mark Robinson, a co-worker (and according to Ross, lover) of Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) in the sitcom Friends. In 1997, Eckholdt also appeared in the famous "The Puppy Episode" of Ellen, and in The Practice.
In 2003, Eckholdt starred in the CBS television sitcom My Big Fat Greek Life which was based on the blockbuster hit movie comedy, My Big Fat Greek Wedding. He starred as Ian Miller, the character originally portrayed by John Corbett in the movie version.
Eckholdt was raised as a Mormon in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a two year mission in Germany in the early 1980s. LESS
