Steven Michael Robert "Steve" Howey (born July 12, 1977) is an American film and television actor.
He is well known for his role as Van Montgomery in the television series Reba. His roles also include the films Supercross, DOA: Dead or Alive, and Bride Wars. He is currently starring in the Showtime series Shameless, portraying the role of Kevin "Kev" Ball.

Howey was born in San Antonio, Texas, to director Bill Howey and Carla. He has two older siblings: Bret and Tammy. Although they moved a lot during his childhood, Howey's parents settled in Los Angeles, where he attended junior high and most of high school. After moving to Denver to complete his senior year, he earned a basketball scholarship to Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado. However, during his second year, he started to lose interest in basketball and started focusing on drama, joining his father's acting class.
Howey has guest-starred on various TV shows including ER (1994) and The Drew Carey Show (1995). He also starred in and produced the independent film Class (1998), which was written and directed by his father and was accepted into the Denver International Film Festival.
