Steve Brodie (November 21, 1919 — January 9, 1992) was an American movie and television actor. Born John Stevenson in El Dorado, Kansas, he took his screen name from the Steve Brodie who claimed that he jumped from the Brooklyn Bridge in 1886 and survived. He worked in over 200 films, and was nominated for an Oscar for best supporting actor in the 1949 film Home of the Brave. Most of his acting work was from the mid 1940s to the early 1950s working at MGM, RKO and Republic Pictures appearing mostly in westerns and B-movies.
