Stephen Lovatt (born 27 May 1964) is a New Zealand actor, best known for his portrayal of the character Max Hoyland on the Australian soap Neighbours.

Lovatt most recently stars as Tullius, a wealthy member of the Roman elite in Starz' Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, a prequel to the successful 2010 series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Involved in a range of nefarious activities, slave trading not least amongst them, Lovatt relishes the role showing a dark side rarely seen in his earlier characters. Lovatt joins a range of actors cast from New Zealand and Australia prominent throughout the series.
