Stefan Lysenko is a Ukrainian American actor, director, producer and Screen Actors Guild member.
Lysenko was brought up in California. During the 20 years after traveling the world in 1988/89, he became an actor, writer, editor, director and independent filmmaker.
In the early 1990s he studied acting at the Playhouse West School and Repertory Theatre. After appearing in a number of New York productions, "Twilight Cafe" EST Theatre New York 1993 and "The Seagull" Actors Theatre, New York 1993
He studied at The Actor's Studio under the tutelage of Shelly Winters.

As the Associated Press reported, the general public was unaware of how serious a craftswoman Winters was. "Although she was in demand as a character actress, Winters continued to study her craft. She attended Charles Laughton's Shakespeare classes and worked at the Actors Studio, both as student and teacher."
