Rahul Narvekar and Shekhar Verma, two prominent players in the Maharashtra football team, happen to be great buddies too, but with a difference. While Shekhar's dad ( Dalip Tahil), a rich industrialist has his connections with the movers and fixers in the football federation, Rahul's dad ( Sachin Khedekar), a former football player, is an ordinary bank employee. The difference in the background begins to matter when Rahul is selected as the captain of the Indian team and Shekhar ends up as a stand by player.
