This video consists of the introductory trailer, opening credits, and the opening scenes of "Something About Amelia," a ABC-TV movie starring Ted Danson, Glenn Close, Roxana Zal, and Missy Francis (with Jane Kaczmarek, Olivia Cole, and Kevin Conway in supporting roles), which aired on ABC on January 9, 1984. This is a movie about a 13-year-old middle-class girl, Amelia Bennett, who's being sexually abused by her father, a businessman. In this opening sequence, Steven Bennett comes home, where he discovers, to his displeasure, that his elder daughter is going to a school dance that evening with a boy. (This is the rerun that aired again on ABC in 1986. Since this movie is not available on home video or DVD, I took a video of my videotaped copy with my digital camera, as it played on my TV set, then retaped selected excerpts from the movie with my digital camera.)
