Sherin Shringar, known by her stage name Sherin or Shirin is a model turned actress, who appears in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films. She made her debut at the age of 16 with Darshan in 2002.
Sherin hails from the state of Karnataka. She was born in Bangalore as an only child to her parents. She did her schooling at Kaveri School Bangalore and later studied in Baldwin Girls High School. She started modeling in her teen ages and she got the chance to act in her first film when she was only 14 years old in the Kannada film Dhruva. After that, she had offers to act in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam movies. She shot to fame with her debut Tamil film Thulluvadho Ilamai. She also acted in Juniors, a Telugu remake of Thulluvadho Ilamai, but the film failed. Later, in 2005, she acted in the film Danger directed by Krishna Vamsi; though the film received accolades, Sherin went unrecognized. Incidentally, in both the films she starred with Allari Naresh.
She appeared in just a few scenes in her second Tamil film Jaya but managed to liven them up by her vivacious presence, following which she starred in Student No. 1 where she played opposite debut Sibi Raj. She was critically acclaimed for her LESS
