Sarah Drew (born October 1, 1980) is an American actress. She is known for her role as Hannah Rogers in Everwood (2004–2006) and for her role as Dr. April Kepner on Grey's Anatomy (2009–present).
Drew was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, and raised in Stony Brook, New York, on Long Island. Her mother, Dr. Jeannie Drew, is Head of Science at the Riverdale Country School in The Bronx. Drew received a Bachelor's degree in Drama from the University of Virginia in 2002.
Drew and her husband, Peter Lanfer, a lecturer at UCLA and visiting faculty at Dartmouth, reside in Los Angeles. Drew is good friends with fellow Everwood star Emily VanCamp. On May 20, 2011, Drew was a judge at the UCLA Spring Sing.
On January 18, 2012, Drew and Lanfer welcomed their first child, a son named Micah Emmanuel.
