Redacted has received wildly mixed reviews. Michael Medved said "it could be the worst movie I've ever seen." However, Kyle Smith gave the movie a 3 star (out of 4) rating, saying, "(It) is a piece of anti-war propaganda whose aims I don't agree with, but it jolted me nonetheless."
