Sheriff Royce Spalding has a chance to eat a few bites before deputies come calling. At the railway yards a young black boy is staggering around obviously drunk. He is still drinking from a bottle while firing off a revolver. The Sheriff approaches cautiously and calls him by name, "Wylie".
