Piotr Adamczyk (b. March 21, 1972 in Warsaw) is a Polish actor.
He portrayed Karol Wojtyła, who later became Pope John Paul II, in the movie Karol: A Man Who Became Pope and Karol: The Pope, The Man.
Since his early childhood he knew he wanted to become an actor, and therefore very quickly he began chasing his dreams. Since his early childhood he knew he wanted to become an actor, and therefore very quickly he began chasing his dreams. As early as at the age of 14 he began to interpret leading roles in theatres and films. He attended the prestigious Machulski youth theatre group in Warsaw. Thanks to the international scholarship that he was granted, he was able to cross the Iron Curtain and attend international theatre workshops in the UK and Germany. He continued his acting education by attending the Theatre Academy in Warsaw and received his training from some of the greatest Polish acting legends such as Gustaw Holoubek and Zbigniew Zapasiewicz. During his second academic year (Poland was now independent), he won a scholarship from the Sorosz Foundation which permitted him to attend the British American Drama Academy for one year, where he performed Hamlet at the end of his stay there.
