Pierre Tornade (21 January 1930 – 7 March 2012) was a French actor. He appeared in 128 films and television shows between 1956 and 1998. He was born Pierre Tour­nadre in Bort-les-Orgues, Cor­rèze. He began his the­atri­cal career at 25, join­ing Robert Dhéry's Bran­quig­nols troupe, which also included Jean Lefèvre, Michel Ser­rault, Jacque­line Mail­lan and Miche­line Dax. In live action, Tor­nade often appear­ed as a police­man or sol­dier. He appeared in the film Le Gen­darme à New York with Louis de Funès.
