Pat Welsh (February 11, 1915 – January 26, 1995) was an American film actress, known as the voice of E.T. in the 1982 film E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. Welsh only appeared in three films, most famously as the voice of E.T. in the 1982 film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. When Welsh was in a camera store, Ben Burtt, the sound designer of the film's character E.T., heard her talking and asked her to audition for the role.
