Personality Oscar Schell is a curious, sensitive and highly intelligent child. He has more ambitions and knowledge then you would expect a child his age to have. He participates in school plays, plays the tambourine when afraid, talks to his cat - Buckminster - like one would talk to a person, is constantly inventing, has no qualms about walking through Manhattan talking to total strangers, explains words he uses to his class mates, loves zipping up his mom's dress, is learning French, and is constantly calculating.
