In the beginning, Shelley is alone in her backyard and sees something suspicious in the lake, looking over when a hand grabs her face and pulls her in the pond, drowning her along with her cat, Luna. Leann gets exactly the same call, and the bridge she is walking on collapses and Leann falls over,gets hit by a bus and lands on a pile of rocks.
