Biography: Omar Sharif is an Egyptian actor. The assumed surname Sharif means "noble" in Arabic. His films include Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago and Funny Girl. He has been nominated for an Academy Award and has won three Golden Globe Awards.
