Norman Mommens was a Belgian sculptor. Born in Antwerp, Belgium, Mommens was married to the English potter Ursula Trevelyan, but divorced her. In 1963 he met the English author Patience Gray, they moved to Greece and then Italy in 1970 and they finally married in 1994. Norman Mommens died in Presicce, Italy.
