Kumaresan Duraisamy (born 2 December 1963), better known by his stage name Napoleon, is a Tamil film actor, politician and the founder and chairman of the Jeevan Technologies. Kumaresan Duraiswamy, better known as Napoleon, was born on 2 December 1963—the fifth of six children. His family was occupied in agriculture. He graduated from St. Joseph's College, Trichy.
After college, he moved to the city and became enthused by the ideologies of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party. He joined that party, of which his uncle, K. N. Nehru, was also a member and at that time the Public Welfare Minister.
Napoleon contested the State Assembly elections of 2001, winning the Villivakkam constituency contest and thereby becoming a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu.
