This Nation Film Board of Canada appears to be an improvised feature that deals with the backlash of criticism young people experience from their older, less-tolerant fellow citizens. A heckling businessman warns all the young people on a bus that they should all be in the army and says disparaging things about their long hair. The director of the film talks with the chief of police who fears a demonstration may result in a tribal gathering of hippies. This matter-of-fact slice of realism doesn't pretend to answer all the questions presented but accurately portrays the hopes, thoughts, and dreams of a young generation troubled by war and far more tolerant of their elders than they are of the young people. ~ Dan Pavlides, All Movie Guide less
