He also had a small role as Trent in the 2011 film Cedar Rapids. Birbiglia recently had his directorial debut with Sleepwalk With Me, a feature film adaptation of his one-man show, that he also co-wrote and starred in. The film was co-written and produced by Ira Glass. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2012 and won the NEXT Audience Award.
