MORE Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is a 1995 American superhero film based on the television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The film stars the regular television cast of Jason David Frank, Amy Jo Johnson, David Yost, Johnny Yong Bosch, Karan Ashley and Steve Cardenas. The allies and villains are Australian and English actors. It was produced by Saban Entertainment and Toei Company. Filming took place in both Sydney and Queensland, Australia and the film was released by 20th Century Fox on June 30, 1995. Much like the television season that followed the release, the film used concepts from the Japanese Super Sentai Series Ninja Sentai Kakuranger. Despite a mixed reaction by critics, the film went on to receive a cult following thanks to the popularity of the TV series. It also grossed $38,187,431 theatrically in the U.S. and $66,433,194 worldwide, making it a financial success. LESS |

Okay, so another interesting game I played lately that I figure that few people would actually know about is this one. I know what you're thinking...and it's one of either two things: "Power Rangers are lame!" or "Power Rangers are awesome!"...and the former opinion is usually based on generational differences while the latter is fueled largely by nostalgia. Let me be perfectly clear, the reasons why I like this game are driven by neither of these factors. The fact that I had a 90s childhood is only the reason why I ended up getting this game in the first place, but the factors that keep me playing and enjoying it today are far more rational...probably. The game itself is a cooperative arcade-style beat 'em up that lets you play as any of six playable characters, each of which will come up at least once along the way, so no need to worry about somebody getting left out of the action. I suppose a little explanation is necessary in that the title itself is largely a lie...or at least a rather serious afterthought, since the claim that this is a game adaptation of the Power Rangers movie is pretty much untrue. The true part is the "Featuring Ivan Ooze" bit, because he IS the final boss...and as such he's a feature of the game, but very little actually has anything to do with him. As for actual gameplay, the basics are pretty simple. There are generally two lines of action (sometimes only one) and you must fight your way through several stages, each of which has its own set ...
