He moved to Los Angeles, California and started his entertainment career. Knudsen became an actor by performing stand up comedy and working in community plays. He performed stand up comedy at comedy spots like The Improv and The Comedy Store. He also performed at The Laugh Factory, The Icehouse, Stand Up New York, The Comic Strip and The Boston Comedy Club.
