Marshall Reed (May 28, 1917 – April 15, 1980) was an American supporting actor who appeared in over 200 films between 1943 and 1978. He was born in Englewood, Colorado. Following his high school graduation Reed worked in a number of jobs before entering Hollywood, serving as a mail clerk, addressograph operator, meter reader, bookkeeper, department store clerk, and horse trainer. Following his high school graduation Reed worked in a number of jobs before entering Hollywood, serving as a mail clerk, addressograph operator, meter reader, bookkeeper, department store clerk, and horse trainer. He started his cinematography career in Bordertown Gun Fighters, a 1943 western starred by the rugged hero Wild Bill Elliott. An excellent and athletic stuntman, as well, Reed handled perfectly much of his own fight and riding. Over the years, he found himself doing dozens of westerns and cliffhangers serials for Columbia and Republic studios, in which he usually cast as one of the blackhearted action heavies in the most brutal of ways. Nevertheless, he appeared in a rare sympathetic role as the notorious soldier and hunter Buffalo Bill Cody in the 1954 serial Riding with Buffalo Bill, suggesting he could play a wide range of roles. Between the 1950s and 1970s, Reed became a familiar face in popular TV-series, particularly in the action and drama genres. In 1978 he costarred Till Death, his last film LESS
