Marne Maitland

James Marne Maitland (1 May 1920–December 1991) was an Anglo-Indian character actor in British films and television programmes. He made his film debut in Cairo Road (1950), and went onto be type cast as villains from the Far East, particularly for Hammer Film Productions. These include The Camp on Blood Island (1958); The Stranglers of Bombay (1960); The Terror of the Tongs (1961); and most memorably as Malay in The Reptile (1965).
